It was contagious

without armies, money or weapons.

The Revolutionaries

were outsiders like slaves,
and people without power like women,
or those despised for their race like Gentiles,
and common people like you and I.

They spread the Word,

That’s all.

They knew no hope before.

They were persecuted

by the elite,
the wealthy,
the stakeholders
in the System.

They Tried to Stomp It Out.

Sparks scattered

And flames of Revolution
spread everywhere.
