Portable ‘Zine’ (for Road Warriors!)

Announcing the new Portable Zine newsletter – Revolution for Road Warriors!

Grab a Zine and lets hit the road!

"It's the Zine for Road Warriors," Keith says, riding with the wind.

Hello brothers and sisters!

I’m Keith McCallum from the Xenos hinterlands announcing the Portable Zine (“magazine”) delivered right to your email, if you want it. This is the same NeoZine published since 2005, which now is a regular Zine with featured subjects. It’s so Millennial, written by and for Millennials, with a spice of 60s-revolution…

  • Blockbuster Summer Edition: Why Revolution? (Currently.)
  • The Fall Edition: Spooky Antidisestablishmentarianism.
  • The Make Love, Not War Edition

The Portable Zine is a free service sponsored by NeoXenos, and we strongly encourage articles and dialog from readers like you (if it’s civilized).

Why the effort? Good question, and here’s good answers…

  1. Spiritual issues are heating up and moving fast, and so much sweet material is available. The NeoZine grabs it before it disappears into Wild, Wild Web.
  2. The Xenos ministry revolution is so badly-needed for a growing population of demoralized, young Christians. The NeoZine is propagating it to whatever extent possible. Webs like Christianity Today are useful, but the NeoZine specifically targets and supports the Revolution of Joy we have seen at Xenos!
  3. It’s a stewardship, undeniably. Jesus dropped this bomb in our laps by grace, so let’s pass it on! Is it exaggerated to say this Revolution of Joy snatched tens of thousands from dark, hopeless places other ministries couldn’t reach? Still more are there for us to reach.

When the publicity about the persecution in Northeat Ohio bounced everywhere (even Oxford), I was reading what the Bloggers were saying, and I was stunned by one observation about Xenos:

“It sounds like Xenos was ‘emerging’ before there ever was an ‘emerging’ church.”

That statement is true, we were “emerging” long ago; so it’s tragic when McLaren & Co. hijack Revolution and offer a lame counterfeit stuffed with Medieval ritualism. Why let such nonsense beguile young Christians when they could join a real Revolution we’ve learned from decades of costly experience?

NeoZine is pushing this grace out there, and here’s how:

  • Trends and Issues: spotlights on the rapid change surrounding the Revolution here and globally.
  • Debate and Controversy: we love the tough questions at Xenos, so we encourage discussion and even debate at our Bible studies, right? Will Christians step outside the institutional box before it looks dead like Europe around here? It isn’t Politically-Correct to trigger controversy, but we can keep it godly and civil (like “Why Revolution?”).
  • Training Resources: handouts, courses, podcasts and multimedia to train revolutionaries (see the Library), which includes making the Love Ethics counseling library more-accessible (see Framework for Change).
  • Fomenting Revolution: NeoZine publishes free publications like the recent NeoZine Series, which are pamphlets in-series. The Scarlet Thread will get republished this way, and a rewritten, shorter version for evangelism. Watch for Uncommon Sense, a revolutionary tractate for the Millennial generation: the atheist who wrote Common Sense, would turn in his grave!
  • Bloggers Unite! People are so impressed with the revolutionaries Xenos raises. They are young and biblically-competent, but also funny, insightful, irreverent, and godly. NeoBlogs is our staging area for these young writers to hone their skills.

We provide free blogs at NeoBlogs for any of our subscribers wishing to get published!

Join us! Contribute articles, comments, feedback, controversy, links, publications and whatever else will help a new generation of Millennial Christians ignite Revolution!

Oh how I love this. After all wasn’t it the apostle Paul who started riots in various city’s with the Grace of God?! Keep up this excellent work of service for the new body of Christ.

    1. Smooth Jazz says:

Haha, thanks Tom! Riots are a riot!
